Discover the home mountain at a run

Explore the Patscherkofel on one of our trails: whether for beginners or experts, our four routes offer everything a trail runner could wish for. They can all be found here.

Kofel-Shortcut

The "Kofel-Shortcut" starts right by the mountain station and leads via a flat forest path to the beginning of the "Jochleiten-Steig", then follows the Panorama Trail back to the mountain station.

Difference in altitude: 250m
Distance: 5,7 Kilometer

Three-Peaks-Round (Arolla-Pine-Trail)

A wonderful and challenging trail running route that takes in all three of the surrounding peaks. If all three are too much, you can simply shorten the trail by taking the Stone Pine Path from Boscheben and leaving out the Patscherkofel.

Difference in altitude: 850m
Distance: 10,9 Kilometer

Start at the mountain station and, after a short stretch on the Stone Pine Path, descend to the Issalm. There follows a steep ascent up to the Neunerspitze peak. From the summit we then take a short steep downhill into the Frauental valley, then head up to the Viggarspitze. A downhill takes us to the Stone Pine Path, which we follow to Boscheben, then over the east ridge to the last summit, the Patscherkofel. Finally, a sharp downhill of almost 300 metres takes us back to the mountain station.

Panorama-Trail

A classic, also ideally suited for beginners to trail running. It runs round the Patscherkofel via the well-known "Jochleiten-Steig".

Difference in altitude: 450m
Distance: 7,6 Kilometer

Follow the forest road from the middle station, past the rustic Hochmahdalm, to the beginning of the "Jochleiten-Steig". Now comes a slight uphill: or you can traverse the south side of the Patscherkofel to Boscheben and from there take the Stone Pine Path back to the mountain station.

Almen-Trail

A varied and attractive trail running route, that runs round the Patscherkofel.

Difference in altitude: 800m
Distance: 13,4 Kilometer

Start at the middle station, go past the Patscheralm via the "Almenweg 1600" along a well-groomed trail into the Viggartal valley to the Meissnerhaus. Then follows a climb of some 300 metres up to Boscheben. After a short stretch on the Stone Pine Path, we descend to the Sistranser Alm where we once again meet the "Almenweg 1600" and follow it to the Lanser Alm. From the Lanser Alm up to the mountain station of Patscherkofelbahn (approx. 230 m difference in altitude)
