Often sunny with some clouds. From the early morning up till before noon and from late evening by midnight, it is likely to be largely cloudless. Around noon, there may be occasional rain showers with changing cloud cover. Around after midday, unstable air-masses cause a high risk of rain-showers and even thunderstorms. At during late evening, the sky brightens up from time to time. Daily sum rainfall in the order of 2 - 5 mm. Around 9 - 11 h sunshine duration. Wind 10 - 15 km/h from south. Four ski touring routes in different degrees of difficulty

  • Olympic route: from the Patscherkofel cable car valley station via the piste to the mountain station (956 metres altitude)
  • Vitalweg: From the middle station of the Patscherkofel cable car via the Patscher Alm, Hochmahdalm to the top station (250 metres in altitude)
  • Forest trail: From the middle station of the Patscherkofel cable car, first via piste 3a and then into the forest to the top station (250 m altitude difference).
  • Summit route: From the top station of the Patscherkofel cable car to the summit (280 metres in altitude)

Every Thursday the pistes remain open until 10.00 pm for ski tourers. On all other days a secured descent is possible until 5.00 pm. After this time the pistes are closed, there is no danger protection.

Changing facilities are available at the mountain station of the Patscherkofel cable car and in the summit parlour.
